The student demonstrates readiness for college-level coursework in the intended subject area of study, as determined by the post-secondary institution. Their school will determine satisfactory progress based on credits earned.ī. The student is making satisfactory progress toward fulfilling applicable secondary school graduation requirements, as determined by their school or home school program. The student will be a high school junior or senior during the 2010-2011 school years.ī. Students who meet all of the following criteria are qualified to participate in the program:Ī. Peters Township School District will be entering into Dual Enrollment agreements with local two- and four-year colleges and universities, such as Community College of Allegheny County.Įligibility requirements for Dual Enrollment candidates include:Ī. The Dual Enrollment program provides the students with an opportunity to earn 3 or 4 college credits while in high school. The Peters Township School District will provide some reimbursement to parents/students for the college/university tuition based on the final funding approval and allocations. This opportunity is open to all incoming juniors and seniors who reside within the Peters Township School District including those students attending Peters Township High School, private, non-public, Cyber, and charter schools, as well as home schooled students. In this program, school district’s partner with community colleges and four-year colleges and universities to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credits while completing their high school requirements. I am writing to inform you that Peters Township School District has applied to participate in PA State’s Dual Enrollment Program.
